Narrative of the Life of Fredrick Douglass-Author purpose

He wrote this book to inform everyone about slavery. To let everyone know what slaves had to endure during these infernal times. Because some people during this time thought slavery wasn't that bad because they were always sing chants. Those chants were rapturous chants and from depression. Douglass wrote this book to the white men that would probably have the sense to listen to what he had to say.

  1. Good start to blogging! You used the title of the book and the reader response choice in the title of the post. I would agree with your thoughts on the author's purpose. For your next posts, remember to use a quote from the book using quotation marks to show the source. I look forward to learning more by reading your blogs!
